What is a name server? Print this Article
A name server (also called DNS server) connects your domain to a hosting server. It resolves the IP address assigned to each computer into an easily readable name - your domain name. There are at least three name servers assigned to each domain.
// Example:
DNS 1: ns1.onartline.com
DNS 2: ns2.onartline.com
DNS 3: ns3.onartline.com
You will receive the correct name servers for the respective domain when you order or transfer a domain to us.
